Vestry

Below are the current members of the COS Vestry. Their roles may be listed below their name, as is the end of their term. If their name is underlined, you can click on the name to reach them by email.

The vestry is the legal representative of the parish, functioning much the way a board of directors would function. Vestry members are elected at the annual parish meeting, typically in three-year terms. The presiding officer of the vestry is the rector. The COS Vestry includes two Wardens, a Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer, and a Clerk. The basic responsibilities of the vestry are to help define and articulate the mission of the congregation; to support the church’s mission by word and deed, to select and call the rector, to ensure effective organization and planning, and to manage the resources and finances of the parish.
